<p>I was chained to my bed frame. I was drained of motivation and ill with loneliness. I was desperate for a purpose but too beaten to search for it.</p><p>However, a few days after taking my medical leave of absence, I discovered I could still write. I found that if I wrote to an imaginary audience, I could entertain myself, relish the beautiful and tragic moments of my life, and process the questions teenagers are forced to grapple with. Now, I believe those writings should be public.</p><p>I invite you, the reader, to observe my growth in this tiny, disorganized, and raw memoir of sorts. Through chapters of good trouble, reflection, love, humor, and sorrow, I learned what it means to <i>want to get better</i>, and I want nothing more than to share that lesson with you, the reader.</p><p>In the hope that good comes from these stories, all profits will be donated to Project Semicolon.</p>
